Flight Route

Day 01
Touchdown in Colombo
We land in Colombo and dive straight into the city’s pulse, a mix of heritage and hustle. Depending on our arrival time, we’ll stroll through the Dutch Hospital Precinct, sip coconut water by Galle Face Green, and enjoy dinner at one of Colombo’s icons - maybe Ministry of Crab or Upali’s.
We end the night in a comfortable city hotel before starting out the cool adventure tomorrow.

Day 02
Handlooms & Heritage
After breakfast, our road trip begins. We’ll stop by the Selyn Handloom Showroom in Kurunegala - Sri Lanka’s only Fair Trade-certified handloom cooperative - to meet local artisans and see how tradition is woven into modern design.
Next up: Dambulla Cave Temple, a UNESCO marvel of rock-carved Buddhas and murals. By late afternoon, we reach Sigiriya, our home for the night at a resort.
Here, our TUK-TUKS await! We’ll do our handover from experts, get a safety briefing, and officially begin our guided island-on-wheels adventure that you will later boast about to family and friends back home.

Day 03
Rock Fortresses & Sacred Lakes
We rise early for a moderate climb to Sigiriya Rock Fortress - a royal citadel perched high above the jungle. Optionally, you can choose a quieter trail, Pidurangala Rock, perfect at sunrise.
After breakfast, we drive toward Kandy, stopping in Matale to visit the Baba Batik Factory, where local artists bring fabric to life with colour and wax.
By evening, we’re in Kandy, where culture comes alive - a traditional dance show, followed by the evening puja at the Temple of the Tooth. Overnight in a comfortable hotel in Kandy.

Day 04
From Hills to High Spirits
Today, we take our tuk-tuks deeper into the lush highlands. A climb up the Ambuluwawa Biodiversity Tower rewards us with sweeping 360° views. By afternoon, we roll into Nuwara Eliya, the “Little England” of Sri Lanka.
We’ll walk by Gregory Lake, wander through Victoria Park, or sip hot tea in a cosy colonial café as the mist rolls in.

Day 05
Trains & Tea Country Dreams
We bid farewell to our tuk-tuks in Nanu Oya and board one of the world’s most beautiful and Instagram’ed train rides - the scenic railway to Ella. Keep your mobile phones ready for this one.
The journey winds through emerald tea estates, waterfalls, and mountain tunnels, each bend revealing a new postcard view. In Ella, we unwind at local cafés or take a leisurely walk to the Nine Arches Bridge.

Day 06
Peaks & Waterfalls
We rise early for a gentle hike up Little Adam’s Peak, watching the morning mist dance over the hills. Then, we drive south, pausing at Diyaluma Falls, Sri Lanka’s second-highest waterfall, where the brave can dip into its natural infinity pools. Our day ends in Negombo, where Amagi Aria Hotel offers the perfect sunset over the lagoon.

Day 07
Farewell for Now
Our journey comes full circle as we head to the airport to come back home, hearts (and memory cards) full of colour, flavour, and laughter from the road.
