The Tuk-Tuk Rally is a seven-day journey from Colombo through cultural sites and tea hills, finishing near the coast in Negombo. The tuk-tuks are one chapter of the route, followed by the scenic railway from Nanu Oya to Ella.
Culture along the road
The programme visits Selyn Handloom in Kurunegala, Dambulla Cave Temple and Sigiriya. In Kandy, a cultural show and the Temple of the Tooth introduce another part of the island’s heritage.
From tea country to Ella
Continue into the highlands via Ambuluwawa and Nuwara Eliya. After returning the tuk-tuks, take the train through tea country to Ella, with time around the town and Nine Arches Bridge. Little Adam’s Peak and Diyaluma Falls lead toward the final night in Negombo.
Before booking, ask about driving eligibility, permits, vehicle sharing and the next departure. The programme includes light to moderate hikes; optional activities and any swimming should be discussed with the team.
Based on the supplied journey programmes. Current departures and final arrangements are confirmed by SoulSteps.
